Throughout the journey the business has been consistent in its ability to innovate, delivering projects and maintenance contracts to exceptional standards. Employing some of the industryʼs premier talent in design, contracts management and on site engineers we have the facility to provide an optimum level of service. This gives our clients the reassurance that once they place the order they will have experienced, motivated people working hard to give them finished projects that go beyond their vision and desires, whilst keeping their budgets intact.

In-House Design

MIES actively encourage collaborative working within our office environment and our in-house design team are a great example of that.

Within our Nottingham head office we employ Mechanical & Electrical Design Engineers who carry out a complete M&E design utilising the latest in computerised design software. This includes Amtech ProDesign, Hevacomp Mechanical Designer, AutoCAD 2D & 3D, ReluxPro Lighting Design and Revit Building Design Suite.

BIM Accredited

MIES Building Services utilises Autodesk Revit to produce Level 1 & Level 2 models.

Building Information Modelling (BIM) is a computerised tool for generating and managing visual and physical building data including details about materials and costs. James Gilmour, MIES Building Servicesʼ Design Director outlined the advantages of using BIM;

‘At MIES we always endeavour to be at the forefront of new technologies and we have heavily invested in the implementation of BIM. This allows for greater collaboration between all parties involved in a construction project and means that MIES are ready for the BIM level 2 mandate that came into force in March 2016ʼ

James is a BRE Global BIM Certified Practitioner working on M&E Design & Build projects up to £5 Million.
